COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course provides professional training in supervision for those in the caring professions who have a responsibility of support and oversight for others. The Graduate Certificate of Professional Supervision is an accredited course with the Australasian Association of Supervision.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Professional supervision facilitates an ongoing conversation between a person’s soul (motivation), role (responsibilities) and context (enabling and limiting factors of practice). It attends to systemic wellbeing: the wellbeing of the practitioner; the wellbeing of the supervisee and the wellbeing of the organisation within which the work is set.
The course brings together theory and practice and is delivered through group based learning (intensive days), follow up video lectures and small group practicums. The course invites applications from experienced practitioners in any of the people-helping professions (counselling, ministry, chaplaincy, pastoral settings, etc). Participants will examine different models of professional supervision and how they are applied in clinical, community and pastoral contexts, in keeping with industry standards and a Christian worldview.
