COURSE DESCRIPTION
This qualification allows individuals to develop post-trade skills and knowledge to become specialists within the production nursery industry. The nursery industry expects this qualification to be achieved to meet job outcomes at this level.
The nursery supervisor is responsible for a number of workers and nursery activities. Responsibilities include:
- supervising and training staff
- overseeing nursery sales
- coordinating nursery production
- implementing propagation plans
- recommending plants, products and treatments
- setting up promotional programs
- managing a budget

REQUIREMENTS
Completion of equivalent to Certificate III or higher, Year 10 equivalent completed, or currently employed in the Horticulture Industry, with at least 12 months equivalent employment.
Age: 16 plus
English Proficiency Requirements: Completion of Language, Literacy and Numeracy Assessment, assessed by Language Studies Department
