COURSE DESCRIPTION

This qualification addresses work primarily in residential facilities under direct or regular supervision within clearly defined organisation guidelines and service plans. These workers carry out activities to maintain personal care and/or other activities of living for people who are in an aged care setting and carry out activities related to an individualised plan. They report directly to a supervisor and are not responsible for other workers.

Assistant in nursing

Home care assistant / Personal care assistant

Care service employees

Community care worker / Care worker

Residential care worker

Support worker

REQUIREMENTS

Most of our courses do not have any pre-requisites for enrolment in those courses. However, our courses do require you to have:

the equivalent of e.g., Year 12 level Australian schooling (e.g., High School Completion Certificate, Matura), or

Year 10+2 years’ schooling or

be a mature-age student.

English Language

International students who wish to study in Australia must obviously speak English. If English is not your first language, you will be required to be tested in your English language proficiency. Your score must be to the IELTS level of 5.5 or TOEFL level of 550 English standard. Testing is available in your home country.
