COURSE DESCRIPTION
FNS40222 – Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping This qualification reflects the job roles of workers in the accounting industry, including BAS Agents and contract bookkeepers; and of those employees performing bookkeeping tasks for organisations in a range of industries. It includes preparing and lodging business and instalment activity statements and providing advice or dealing with the Commissioner on behalf of a taxpayer in relation to activity statements. Individuals in these roles apply theoretical and specialist knowledge and skills to work autonomously, and exercise judgement in completing routine and non-routine activities.
Pathways From The Qualification
Pathways to further study include: Graduates at this level will have specialised knowledge and skills paraprofessional and/or further learning
- Students who successfully complete this course will be issued with a full qualification FNS40217 Certificate IV in Accounting and bookkeeping, which fulfils the entry requirement of FNS50217 Diploma of Accounting.
- Students who partially complete this course ( a minimum of one unit competency) will be issued with a Statement of Attainment from FNS40217 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping qualification for the unit/s of competency successfully completed, and they can then choose to complete the full qualification on later date.
- Students who successfully completes FNS40217 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping will be granted credit transfer for 4 units of competency in pursuing FNS50217 Diploma of Accounting at IIBIT.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be minimum 18 years old
Have satisfactory completed Australian year 12 or overseas equivalent school qualifications;
Have adequate core skills of being able to learn, read, write, research, use technology, work in teams and count as these skills are embedded n the study of this program.
