The Certificate IV in Surveying and Spatial Information Services (Surveying) takes your technical skills to the next level, as you specialise in the field as a surveying technician. Learn to collect data using emerging technology, and gain transferable skills that will set you apart from the rest.
This course provides you with everything you will need to know about surveying. You will gain industry-like experience as you develop a range of technical and theoretical skills that can be used across the infrastructure, energy & construction industries.

Through theory and practical course work, you will learn to:
Collect spatial data using GNSS
Organise surveying field services
Perform surveying computations
Produce computer-aided drawings
Using terrestrial technology
Set out site and building works

Collecting, storing, quality-assuring and analysing surveying data
Using and maintaining surveying equipment
Using Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and Remote Pilot Aircraft System (RPAS) technology
Using Computer-Aided Drawing (CAD) and Geographic Information System (GIS) software

REQUIREMENTS
Certificate III in Surveying and Spatial Information Services
English Language Requirements:
Academic IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL (iBT) 60 or equivalent
Or Completion of a TAFE NSW English for Academic Purposes (EAP)
