With Academia, you can deepen your understanding of early childhood development while honing your abilities to lead and inspire a team. Our CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is a nationally recognised qualification. Graduating with this Diploma will qualify you as an educator responsible for developing and implementing programs and plans in accordance with regulations, accreditation, duty of care and quality standards for an early childhood facility.
As a part of Academia’s Early Childhood Education program, you will benefit from a supportive learning environment led by experienced trainers and child development experts.
Our Diploma course includes a minimum of 280 hours of Industry placement in a registered early childhood facility. Academia believes in blending theoretical knowledge and practical experience to provide a holistic evaluation of student’s understanding and knowledge of early childhood education and care practices. This approach ensures that our graduates are well-prepared to meet the demands of the early childhood industry and make a positive impact on the lives of children and families.
To enter this course, you must hold a CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
This Diploma course will improve on the knowledge and skills you learnt during your Certificate III. Giving you the confidence to organise and lead programs that support the holistic development of young children.

REQUIREMENTS
Year 11 or above (Victoria, Australia) or equivalent International qualification as recognized by the Department of Home Affairs
Must be at least 18 years of age
English Language proficiency:
IELTS (General or Academic) – Overall 5.5
TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based) – 60
TOEFL Paper – 523 (with a min TWE 3.5)
TOEFL CBT (computer-Based) – 193 (with a min TWE 3.5)
PTE – 42 with no communicative skill score less than 38
TOEIC – Total score 650 or higher
The Cambridge FCE, CAE or CPE – Pass with an average of 60% or higher.
