The Graduate Diploma in Management (Learning) is a one year course which is a great kick-start for graduates who want to learn how to create their own start-up digital media business. The course is designed to introduce students to the associated entrepreneurial skills required and the opportunities in the rapidly expanding independent games, animation and digital content industry.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
This course is intended to give students the skills to manage and run their own creative media businesses. Job roles and titles vary across different industry sectors. Possible job titles and roles relevant to this qualification include:
- Game / VFX Developer
- Lead Artist / Programmer / Designer
- Project Manager
- Producer
- Small business entrepreneur
REQUIREMENTS
Entry for this Graduate Diploma course is based on completion of one of the relevant qualifications listed below or an equivalent relevant qualification, or combination of academic and/or professional qualifications demonstrating potential to undertake study at this level.
- Bachelor of Games and Virtual Worlds (Programming)
- Advanced Diploma of Professional Game Development
- Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media
Overseas applicants must be over 18 in order to be eligible for study at AIE.
English Language Requirements
A score of 5.5 (with a minimum score of 5.0 for Writing, and 6.0 for Listening).

The AIE was established in 1996 and has campuses in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. The Melbourne campus offers an Advanced Diploma of Professional Game Development and an Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media (3D Animation and Visual Fx). AIE also offers a part time Certificate III in Media (3D Animation) as well as short courses. The Melbourne campus is located within the Atari Building in Queens Road, Melbourne.
