AIT’s Vocational Diploma of IT is the perfect opportunity for you to learn the fundamental elements of the IT industry, dive deep into the world of coding and web development, and develop a firm grasp on the principles of software engineering. This vocational course covers important technical concepts such as programming in multiple languages, web development, database design, software engineering, and data management. Our curriculum also emphasises professional skills such as communication, collaboration, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
What To Expect
AIT’s Diploma of IT covers important technical concepts, such as programming in multiple languages, web development, database design, software engineering and data management, while also emphasising professional skills such as communication, collaboration, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
Upon completion, you will be ready for entry-level IT positions, such as a help desk technician, technical support specialist or network administrator, and can even continue your education with AIT’s second-year bachelor’s degree program.

AIT Campus
Our Sydney campus is conveniently located in the heart of Sydney’s educational precinct, close to Central Train Station, in a lively and safe area with a great vibe. Our Melbourne Campus is located directly across from one of the biggest railway station interchanges in the Melbourne CBD, Southern Cross Station.
Both campuses feature classrooms facilities with fast internet speeds, the latest computers and technology and friendly support staff are always close by to help.
REQUIREMENTS
All students must be 18 years or older at the commencement of their course. For any students under the age of 18, an interview may be required.
Academic Requirements
Successful completion of Australian Year 11 or equivalent; OR Completion of Post-Secondary studies (Cert IV or above); OR Relevant work experience in a related field
English Language Requirements
All students must have a minimum English language proficiency of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent; OR Have successfully completed the following courses with Greenwich English College: General English (Upper Intermediate Level 8 weeks), English for Business (12 weeks), Cambridge PET FCE and CAE, EVS, EAP and IELTS (With exit point of 5.5 or higher).
Direct entry to students on passing Greenwich English College Placement Test (online and on campus testing options).
