The CHC43315 Certificate IV in Mental Health would be ideal to those who are seeking to develop professional skills to work with clients who face challenges with their mental health. If you are also looking for some volunteer work / experience in community services, this course would help you to grow your skills leading into mental health related work.
?The course explores the relationship between mental health in the community and in workplace. Focusing on working with families that deal with mental health issues is also highlighted. A well-structured workplace learning module is included to help you deliver practical skills.
Career Pathway
Successful completion of this course may enable you to progress towards Diploma of Mental Health. Alternately this qualification may also enable you to take the direction towards Diploma of Nursing.
At the Certificate IV level this course will help you continue to work efficiently within the Community Services Sector as workers who provide self-directed recovery-oriented support services for people affected by mental illness and psychiatric disability. This may relate to the ANZSCO occupational classification value relating to Aged or Disabled Cares and related occupations.
REQUIREMENTS
The minimum age for eligible applicants is 18 years. Applicants must have successfully completed the equivalent of Year 11 according to the Australian Qualifications Framework.
Proficiency in English is required to meet Industry standards.
Although LLN test is not an entry requirement, students are asked to undertake the same so appropriate academic support can be ensured throughout the course of study.
