This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply highly specialised knowledge and skills in the field of organisational learning and capability development. Individuals in these roles generate and evaluate complex ideas. They also initiate, design and execute major learning and development functions within an organisation. Typically, they would have full responsibility and accountability for the personal output and work of others.
This qualification may apply to leaders and managers in an organisation where learning is used to build organisational capability. The job roles that relate to this qualification may also include RTO Manager and RTO Director.

Students may enter this qualification with no prior experience or qualifications.
After satisfactory completion of this qualification, a student may progress to the following qualifications:
Torrens University Pathway
Master of Business Administration – additional study of 9 months
Master of Business Administration (Advanced) – additional study of 1 year
REQUIREMENTS
Whilst there are no entry requirements specified in the training package, ABCI requires the following course entry criteria to be met:
- Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age at the time of commencement; and
- Hold a valid and current study visa; and
- Demonstrated competency at AQF Diploma level or equivalent; and
- Be educated for 5 years in an English speaking country; or
- Hold a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 OR PTE score of 42 OR hold an International Baccalaureate Diploma where the main language of instruction was English OR speak English as a first language OR evidence of undertaking a relevant ELICOS program. Alternatively, students may demonstrate ACSF and LLN levels by undertaking ABCI’s ACSF assessments.
In addition, applicants:
Should have basic computer and MS Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and access to the internet.
