COURSE DESCRIPTION
This Master’s degree will expand your knowledge and skills in leadership and management in healthcare.
Graduates of the Master of Leadership and Management in Healthcare students will be able to:
evaluate issues and challenges that the industry, healthcare professionals and consumers of their services encounter
conceptualise new and creative approaches to leadership and management in healthcare to support service delivery in diverse health care settings
connect theory, practice and research within leadership and management in healthcare
examine the ethical aspects of personal, social, cultural, environmental and institutional changes within contemporary health care delivery and respond to such changes
reflect on options and opportunities to enhance professional practice in contemporary local, regional and global healthcare contexts
contribute to values-based professional practice in dynamic and challenging environments.
Careers
Our graduates have pursued careers in:
health services management and/or leadership
nurse unit management
humanitarian or social welfare organisation management and/or leadership
public or private health-related facilities management and/or leadership
Further study
This course will provide a solid foundation for graduates who wish to pursue further study in the health industry.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants with higher education study
Students whose first language is other than English need to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements as defined in the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.
If your previous study has equipped you with knowledge, skills or experiences that align with the learning outcomes of units in your new course you may be able to apply for recognition of prior learning and you may be able to complete your course sooner.
If you’re an international applicant you’ll need the equivalent of an Australian bachelor’s degree (in a health discipline or equivalent).
You’ll also need to comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy, including the English Language Proficiency requirements.

- Pearson Test of English (PTE) – 58
- Test of English as a Foreign Language – Academic (TOEFL) – 79 (Writing – 24, Reading – 19, Speaking – 20, Listening – 20)

- Cambridge Advanced English (CAE) – 176
