Overview
With the prolific expansion of technology throughout the world and into the core of every business, a study into this Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has never been more vital and valuable for the success of a business.
With a hands-on approach, students undertaking this course will gain a mix of practical experience in dealing with real-world ICT challenges within a business environment, along with the critical-thinking skills that are key in problem solving, teamwork and business analysis.
Specialising in Cyber Security, this course focuses on the core security infrastructure that affects medium to large enterprises. This Advanced Diploma specialising in Cyber Security teaches students the fundamentals of firewalls and router/switch technology, the planning and implementation processes of troubleshooting, and assists students develop their skills to secure and configure enterprise-level devices and communication networks to improve overall business security.
By undertaking this course, students will develop the necessary skills and knowledge across a variety of cybersecurity topics, using specialised software.
By simulating real-world scenarios, students will experience a hands-on learning environment to configure business machines and perform penetrating testing and ethical hacking as a means of finding security solutions to improve overall business security, as well as familiarise themselves with the specialised software that is prevalent to the industry.
REQUIREMENTS
Every student will have an initial interview to assess their individual learning needs and their language, literacy and numeracy skills.
Completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent
IELTS 5.5 English language equivalence if a non-native English speaker
Be aged over 18.
