COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Graduate Certificate of Business is embedded in the Graduate Diploma and Master of Business Administration (Business Analytics) and has been designed as both an exit qualification and a pathway into postgraduate study. The overall aim of the Graduate Certificate of Business Administration is to provide a flexible, student-centred and academically rigorous course of study, which seeks to develop students’ intellectual skills and competencies and give them a sound foundation for further postgraduate level study in their chosen discipline. This course seeks to provide students with a postgraduate level of knowledge, competencies and values necessary for a fulfilling career in various areas of business administration and management. For this reason, students are required to undertake four core business units: finance for corporate managers, strategic communication and negotiation, strategic marketing management and people, culture and agile leadership. Structure To complete this course, you will need to pass 4 Units. This consists of 4 core units. REQUIREMENTS
Successful completion of a recognised Undergraduate qualification Assumed Knowledge Unit Code: MBIS4002 Software Development is a unit that requires the student to have assumed knowledge of coding. Students who do not have the assumed knowledge background are not prevented from enrolling but will be offered conditional admission and be required to take the BISY1003 Foundations of Programming Unit. English language equivalence requirements*: For international students whose secondary education was conducted in a language other than English: IELTS overall band score: 6.5 (no band less than 6.0) or equivalent (Refer to Appendix 2); or Equivalent alternative English Language test To meet the English language requirement, the certificate used should be within the past 2 years to the commencing date of the course applied at the Institute.
