COURSE DESCRIPTION

Privileges of Commercial Pilot Licence

On completion of this course you will have a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL Australia) with Multi Engine endorsement and Multi Engine instrument rating and can apply job and fly under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). You will be in a very good position to make application to your local airline.

Course fee includes

1. Flying

Definitions:

  • Dual – Flight training with an instructor
  • Solo – Flight training with the student acting as pilot in command – no instructor.

Recreational Pilot Licence & Commercial Pilot Licence phases:

  • 70 hours solo Piper Warrior
  • 55.5 hours dual Piper Warrior (including 1.4 hours for Recreational Pilot Licence Flight test & 3 hours for Private Pilot Licence Progress Check)
  • 3 hours dual Piper Warrior (CPL)
  • 32 hours dual Piper Arrow (CPL) – including 3 hours for Commercial Pilot Licence flight test
  • 4 hours Flight Simulator

Multi Engine Endorsement

  • 7.7 hours dual Piper Seminole PA44 (one hour for Multi Engine Check Ride)

Instrument Rating

  • 23 hours Piper Seminole PA44 (including 3 hours for Instrument Rating flight test)
  • 22 hours simulator

TOTAL HOURS: 220.2

  • ERC Low and TAC
  • DAP’s East & West

REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of a CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical either before course commencement or upon arrival.
  • Have passed at least equivalent of Australian Year 10 of High School and have reasonable maths proficiency Note: Year 10 is the 4th year of Secondary College/High School.
  • Pass an interview with the flying school manager or one of our instructors (details will be explained if you apply)
  • Be 18 years of age by course commencement

English Language Requirements

Minimum IELTS Score of 6.0 with none of the test scores (listening, reading, writing & listening) below 5.5 or Pearson PTE minimum test score of 50 Note: The English test must have been taken two years immediately before the date of Student visa application is made or two year immediately before a decision is made on the application.
f you fall into one of the following student categories, you are exempt from providing an English test score as evidence of English language proficiency:

  • students who have completed at least five years’ study in English in one or more of the following countries: Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland
  • students who have completed in Australia, the Senior Secondary Certificate of Education in the English language, in the two years before applying for this Student visa
  • in the two years before applying for this Student visa, completed a substantial component of a course leading to a qualification from the Australian Qualifications Framework at Certificate IV or higher level, while holding a Student visa.Make sure you provide the appropriate evidence if you satisfy one of the exemptions above.
