This degree is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in global finance and helps to prepare for the professional fields of finance and accounting. Students who complete the Diploma of Applied Finance and Accounting may then choose to continue in the 2nd and 3rd years of IMC Bachelor of Applied Finance and Accounting. COURSE STRUCTURE This course contains the following core units Year 1 Core Subjects TACC101 Financial Accounting Principles TACC102 Accounting for Decision Making TECO103 Principles of Economics (new combined unit) TFIN102 Principles of Finance TSTA101 Introductory Statistics Year 1 Elective Subjects (choose 3 of the following) TBUS110 Introduction to e-Commerce TMGT101 Business Management TMKT101 Principles of Marketing
PATHWAY TO EMPLOYMENT / FURTHER STUDY Upon successful completion of 8 Diploma units (48 credit points), students may choose to continue in the 2nd and 3rd years of IMC’s Bachelor of Applied Finance and Accounting.
This will be conditional on completion at an appropriate level.

REQUIREMENTS
Completion of HSC
IELTS of 6.0 overall with minimum 5.5 in each band, or equivalent
IMC nominated English Provider (ELICOS) at English for Academic Purpose (EAP) Level 3 with a pass mark of 60%
Overall score of 60% with minimum CEFR B2 in each band
