COURSE DESCRIPTION
Whether you are starting out in screen production, or have experience we will help you develop your unique talents in a small creative environment.
When you study screen production with APAC you will:
- learn every aspect of pre and post-production.
- learn to write scripts, produce and direct
- work collaboratively in crew roles on short films, music videos, television commercials and webseries
- develop key skills needed to turn your creative vision into reality
- develop the skills needed to write and pitch an idea and to promote yourself
- develop the skills needed to manage the business side of film creation including budgeting, distribution and marketing
- learn from those who work in the industry.
- Hands on subjects such as cinematography, lighting and green screen techniques, sound recording and editing (Adobe Creative Suite) will give you the ability to follow your strengths.
You will also study with peers who are starting their creative journey not only in screen production but also in singing, dancing and acting allowing you to form a network of like-minded creative individuals who will stay with you throughout your career!

REQUIREMENTS
- Have completed an Australian Senior Secondary Year 12 Certificate (or its overseas equivalent) OR a pass grade or higher in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma qualification OR successful completion of an AQF Level 4 (Certificate IV or above) qualification.
- Have an IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent) with no band score less than 5.5
- Be able to demonstrate a level of aptitude and discernible talent through submission of a creative portfolio
- Be 18 years or older at the time your studies commence
EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION
Performing Arts Conservatory is located at Charlotte Street, Brisbane and was founded by Mr. Marcus Hogan. The Conservatory offers a recognised entry level qualification: the Advanced Diploma in Screen & Stage Acting. The courses in the Conservatory are open every quarter, not just once a year. Electives are offered in Screenplay and Play Script Formats, and Staged Swordplay. Students don’t need any experience at all to gain entry into the Advanced Diploma program.
