COURSE DESCRIPTION
Whether its singing, dancing, songwriting, acting or collaborating with others that fuels your creative passions, APAC provides the ultimate platform to explore and develop your potential
Working in partnership with industry professionals you will develop a practical understanding of all aspects of live and recorded contemporary song & dance performance, giving you the confidence to build a career as a creative professional across a range of industries.
Unique in its cross-disciplinary philosophy, this course will give you the opportunity to learn and collaborate with actors, singers, dancers and filmmakers on a range of projects, providing you with essential opportunities to build your knowledge through experience and to work flexibly in creative contexts. You will also develop an understanding of voice and movement physiology, preparing you for a viable and sustainable career as a performer. In addition, you will develop complementary skills in musicianship, songwriting, recording, interview techniques as well as career planning strategies.

REQUIREMENTS
- Have completed an Australian Senior Secondary Year 12 Certificate (or its overseas equivalent) OR a pass grade or higher in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma qualification OR successful completion of an AQF Level 4 (Certificate IV or above) qualification.
- Have an IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent) with no band score less than 5.5
- Be able to demonstrate a level of aptitude and discernible talent through an audition process
- Be 18 years or older at the time your studies commence.
EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION
Performing Arts Conservatory is located at Charlotte Street, Brisbane and was founded by Mr. Marcus Hogan. The Conservatory offers a recognised entry level qualification: the Advanced Diploma in Screen & Stage Acting. The courses in the Conservatory are open every quarter, not just once a year. Electives are offered in Screenplay and Play Script Formats, and Staged Swordplay. Students don’t need any experience at all to gain entry into the Advanced Diploma program.
