COURSE DESCRIPTION
This qualification reflects the role of a security officer, responsible for maintaining safety and security by patrolling, protecting or guarding property while unarmed, and screening entry, monitoring behaviour and removing persons from premises.
QUALIFICATION DESCRIPTION
Participants who successfully complete the qualification can apply for a license leading to jobs as security officers, unarmed guards and crowd control officers. In this course, participants will learn to apply effective communication skills to maintain security, patrol premises to monitor property and maintain security and provide first aid to individuals

REQUIREMENTS
There are no entry requirements for this qualification. For International Students:
Entry Requirements
- Applicants must be 18 years of age and above
- Successful completion of the Pre-Training Review (PTR)
- Completion of year 11 or equivalent (subject to the assessment and approval of AVETA staff)
- English requirements TOEFL PB 506, IBT 62, PTE Academic 46, CAE & CPE (from 2015) 152 or IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
