COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is delivered by Mission Aviation Fellowship on behalf of Aviation Australia.
Mission Aviation Fellowship’s (MAF) team of experienced instructors have extensive flying experience and aviation industry knowledge, to provide pilot training with a focus on remote area experience.
Mareeba’s ideal location offers proximity to controlled airspace, mountainous terrain and a true remote area experience, not to mention 300 sunny days per year.
MAF’s aircraft fleet and training equipment include:
- Cessna 172 and 182s
- Redbird motion flight simulator
- G1000, C206, GA8
Mission Aviation Fellowship is a Part 141 and Part 142 CASA approved flight training facility at Mareeba Airport. The standard course is aligned with the CASR Part 142 Integrated flight training requirements under MAF’s CASA Air Operators Certificate (AOC).
REQUIREMENTS
Academic Suitability:
Evidence of completion of Year 12 or equivalent. Where an applicant does not meet these requirements, Aviation Australia may consider sufficient relevant work experience (documented via a resume and referees) and/or a successfully completed higher level qualification that demonstrates academic suitability.
Minimum of 18 years of age
