Avondale’s Bachelor of Business (BBus) prepares you for a life in the business world, whether it be in accounting, human resource management, marketing or business administration. You will learn how to be an effective leader, budget, market a product and sell your ideas. You will also explore how the economy functions and what it entails to manage your own business.
Through personalised attention, you will learn to be creative and innovative in problem solving, systems design and people management. This will give you a competitive advantage in the workplace. There are opportunities to undertake paid and unpaid internships throughout your degree, helping you to secure employment upon graduation. Upon successful completion of the Bachelor of Business, graduates will be able to:
demonstrate a broad theoretical knowledge of business studies and the business environment;
apply skills of analysis, synthesis, evaluation and research to the business environment;
exhibit skills of problem recognition and problem-solving;
demonstrate efficient and effective decision-making skills in business;
apply the ability to work cooperatively in a team as well as to show individual initiative;
communicate ideas orally, in written form and through information technologies;

REQUIREMENTS
Applicants with higher education study
Completion or partial completion of an Australian Qualifications Framework AQF Level 7 qualification at an accredited university or higher education provider; or
Successful completion of bridging or enabling course, or another recognised tertiary preparation course; or
Successful completion of Avondale’s Diploma of Business pathway program
Applicants with vocational education and training (VET) study
An Australian Qualifications Framework AQF Level 4 qualification or higher; or
A New Zealand Qualifications Framework NZQF Level 4 qualification or higher; or
Technology and Applied Studies (TAS) teaching areas – an Australian Qualifications Framework AQF Level 3 trade qualification with three to five years of recent post-apprenticeship trade experience in relevant technology
Applicants with work and life experience
An ATAR equal to or above 60.00; or
An appropriate score in the uniTEST and the Tertiary Online Written Assessment; or
An appropriate score in the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT)
English Language Requirements:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (Academic): 6.5 (with no sub-band below 6.0)
TOEFL iBT: 79 (minimum score of 20 in reading, listening and speaking, and 24 in writing)
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): 176 with no less than 169 in any component
Pearson Test of English (Academic): 58 with no communicative score less than 50
English for Academic Purposes: English for Academic Purposes Level 4 with Distinction
