COURSE DESCRIPTION
In the globalised world of the 21st Century, every country is affected by what happens beyond its borders. Prosperity and security are impacted by international politics; business opportunities and trade are dependent on global partnerships and agreements.
Bond’s Bachelor of International Relations offers a fascinating exploration of the interconnected web of international relationships and the factors that shape them: from politics, ideologies, diplomacy, and governance, to war and peace, food security and the impact of climate change on our collective future.
This program takes you on a voyage of discovery into the politics, economics, and diplomacy of key geographic regions. You will develop an in-depth understanding of global matters of concern.
The Bachelor of International Relations (3-year Program) is designed for international students who prefer to study two semesters per year (rather than the usual Bond model of three semesters per year). Your classes will be held in the January and September semesters of each year so you will complete the degree over three years.
The Bachelor of International Relations prepares you for a fascinating career in a globalising world. Global and regional interdependence means that no state is unaffected by developments beyond its borders. Prosperity and security are based on international orientations. Businesses, governments, and organisations need people equipped with relevant professional skills and competencies in International Relations. You will explore a rich variety of interconnected issues in International Relations and the factors which shape them, including war and peace on our planet, human security, diplomacy, governance, and the influence of climate change on the future world. You will gain insight into politics, economy, and diplomacy both in Australia and other world geographic regions. An in-depth understanding of the world around us and the skills needed for its interpretation equip you for future employment in International Relations and many other areas where such capacities are required.
The three-year program is designed for international students who wish to study via a two-semester-a-year model, allowing them to complete the program over a three-year period instead of the standard two.
