Box Hill Institute has been a leader in Australian contemporary music education since 1981, offering one of the most diverse and dynamic music programs in the country.
This music course is designed to support emerging music professionals across all areas of the industry to be creative, work collaboratively, think innovatively, create content, generate income, and forge their own pathway into industry.
In the audio production major you will learn skills in studio recording, producing music, live sound, sound for media and post production, and you will create a portfolio of work to launch your career in the music industry.
You will have access to:

world class recording studios
releasing music and artist development through our in-house record label
core units such as ‘Foundations of Studio Production’ and ‘Multitrack Recording and Mixing’
advancement units such as ‘Sound System Design and Operation’, ‘Advanced Post Production’, and ‘Professional Media Mixing’
elective units such as ‘Interactive Music and SFX for Games’
You will also have the option of choosing subjects from any other major study areas including: composition, music business, music production, performance and songwriting.

After successful completion of this course, you may wish to apply for entry into a wide range of postgraduate courses.
This course is accredited by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) and the qualification is aligned with the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) level 7 and Box Hill Institute Graduate Attributes.
REQUIREMENTS
International students must have completed an Australian Year 12 or international equivalent with a pass.
PLEASE NOTE: Box Hill Institute only accept enrolments from international students who are 18 years of age or above at the time of course commencement.
A minimum IELTS overall score of 6.0 (Academic) with no band less than 5.5. A minimum TOEFL score of 550 for paper examination; 213 for computer based and 79 for internet based, or approved equivalent.
EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION
Box Hill Institute is an educational provider with three campuses in Australia- of which one is based in Melbourne- and was the ‘2016 Australian Large Training Provider of the Year’.
