The Master of Professional Accounting (Professional Practice) from Charles Sturt University equips you with the knowledge and skills to successfully work in the accounting profession and provides you with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and build industry connections.
This accounting course – designed specifically for international students – is ideal if you hold an undergraduate degree in a non-accounting field and want to move your career or add accounting expertise to your current role.
Career opportunities Complete your Master of Professional Accounting (Professional Practice) and you can explore many different career possibilities. Provide auditing, advisory, taxation, management accounting or financial reporting services to clients. Put your budgeting, management accounting, auditing, reporting and analytical skills to work in a business, not-for-profit organisation or government department – of any size. What you will study For each 8-point subject you are enrolled in, you should expect to spend 10 to 12 hours per week working on assignments and assigned readings, tutorial assistance, individual or group research/study, forum activity, workplace learning, and attending lectures, intensive schools, or examinations. If you are studying four subjects per session, this is equivalent to a full-time job. The workload for some subjects may vary as a result of approved course design.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent). The undergraduate degree must be in a field other than Accounting, or not recognised by the Australian Accounting professional bodies for associate membership.
Applicants without a tertiary qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Diploma of Accounting on the basis of professional attainment and/or work experience. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Diploma, students will then be eligible for admission to the Master of Professional Accounting and receive credit for applicable subjects.
Have obtained an Academic IELTS within the last 2 years with: 6.0 no band less than 5.5
