The Bachelor of Business (Management) aims to produce graduates with the skills and knowledge to work in middle management roles in a variety of public and private industries. Managers play a vital role in all organisations as they are responsible for organisation growth and development. This program will develop business and leadership skills and give students the ability to manage people and organisations successfully. The degree ensures that students have the opportunity to develop essential business skills and knowledge including finance and marketing principles, business law and sound well-developed management skills.

Purpose
The Bachelor of Business (Management) aims to produce graduates with the skills and knowledge to work in junior or middle management roles in a variety of public and private industries.
Knowledge
This course incorporates core knowledge in Business and Management. The course is structured such that it incorporates the Core Body of Knowledge recommended by the Australian Institute of Management (AIM). The course comprises a 16 Unit major sequence providing depth of knowledge with breadth being provided through the 8 electives required for completion of the degree.
Skills
Graduates of the Bachelor of Business (Management) will:
• Think creatively with an ability to critically evaluate concepts and ideas and generate effective and innovative solutions.
• Possess depth in management knowledge with a focus on leadership skill and display the capacity and strategies to engage with the process of continuous independent and collaborative learning.
• Have developed skills to apply logic and rationale to analyse complex issues and to creatively solve problems through intelligent decision making.
• Possess the ability to communicate effectively in ways appropriate to the discipline, audience and purpose.
Application of Knowledge and Skills
Graduates of a Bachelor of Business (Management) will demonstrate the application of knowledge and skills:
• Through their capacity for technical awareness and adaptability combined with their ability to research, synthesize and communicate relevant information.
• Through a strong foundation in management & leadership knowledge with the ability to draw on this knowledge and apply it in a business environment.
• To effectively contribute to the industry as an individual or as part of a group with the poise, behaviour and ethical standing expected by the industry.
REQUIREMENTS
Successful completion of a qualification equivalent to at least an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate of Education to Year 12 or international equivalent.
English Language Admission Criteria:
IELTS (Academic): 6.0 (no band less than 5.5)
TOEFL (Paper): 550 (TWE 4.0)
TOEFL (iBT): 60 (minimum of 20 in the writing section)
PTE: 50 (with no communication score less than 46)
CAE (before 2015): 52 (with no less than borderline in each skill)
CAE (from 2015): 169-175 (no band less than 169)
