COURSE DESCRIPTION

What you’ll learn

Develop, apply, evaluate and manage solutions for software systems, organisations and large scale data sources using the latest advances in analytics and industry-accepted standards.

Apply and evaluate advanced technical knowledge and its underpinning science and analytical methods in computing to address real world applications.

Communicate effectively to design, apply, manage and evaluate solutions that involve the latest advances in technology, and industry standards and use both written and verbal forms to convey the required knowledge to both experts and non-technical audiences.

Apply the latest technology and devise new approaches to process a wide range of large scale data sources in order to derive new critical knowledge that can be used to address current problems in both IT and related areas.

Develop new IT security solutions through the application of leading edge technology and expert skills and that are underpinned by ethics, sustainability and social responsibility.

Demonstrate initiative, leadership and ethical practice when working independently and collaboratively.

REQUIREMENTS

A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or Engineering

OR

A bachelor’s degree and demonstrated knowledge and skills in programming, operating systems, and computing mathematics

Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): Grade C; and Pearson Test of English Academic: 58. IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System): Writing, Speaking, Reading, and Listening: 6.0; Overall band score: 6.5; TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): 79 Overall; Reading 13 Listening 13 Speaking 18 Writing 21.
