What you’ll learn
Demonstrate mastery of theoretical knowledge and to reflect critically on that knowledge and its application;
Investigate, analyse and synthesise complex information, problems, concepts and theories and apply established theories to different bodies of knowledge or practice;
Generate and evaluate complex ideas and concepts at an abstract level;
Design, use and evaluate research and research methods;
Present a coherent and sustained argument and to disseminate research concepts, plans and results to the general community, peers and the national and international research community;
Design, evaluate implement, analyse, theorise and disseminate research that makes an original contribution to knowledge and/or professional practice;
REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for entry to our research courses, you need to have achieved the following:
A minimum of four years’ previous study in a tertiary institution.
Meet the eligibility criteria of the Graduate Studies Committee for the proposed enrolling area/s.
Confirmation from the head of your enrolling area that the necessary supervision and facilities can be adequately provided to support your research.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) – Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking – 6.5; Overall band score 6.5; TOEFL Score: 79 (overall); Reading 13; Listening 13; Speaking 18; Writing 21; Pearson Test of English – Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking – 50; Overall band score 58; TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and PBT (Paper Based Test) – 570 and 4.5 in TWE; C1 Advanced Formerly known as Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) 176 with 169 in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. C2 Proficiency Formerly known as Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) 190 with 176 in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking.
