What you’ll learn

Demonstrate mastery of theoretical knowledge and to reflect critically on that knowledge and its application

Design, use and evaluate research and research methods
Present a coherent and sustained argument and to disseminate research concepts, plans and results to the general community, peers and the national and international research community
Design, evaluate implement, analyse, theorise and disseminate research that makes an original contribution to knowledge and/or professional practice

REQUIREMENTS

What you need in order to get into this course. There are different pathway options depending on your level of work and education experience.

Specifically applicants require a relevant degree with a semester weighted average (SWA) of 70 per cent or better or an equivalent qualification. Specifically, applicants with a SWA of less than 70 per cent, or whose previous degree(s) are not in the intended area of research, will be required to undertake appropriate bridging units.

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) – Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking – 6.0; Overall band score 6.5; TOEFL Score: 79 (overall); Reading 13; Listening 13; Speaking 18; Writing 21; Pearson Test of English – Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking – 50; Overall band score 58; TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and PBT (Paper Based Test) – 570 and 4.5 in TWE; C1 Advanced Formerly known as Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) 176 with 169 in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. C2 Proficiency Formerly known as Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) 190 with 176 in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking.
