Kick start your career in community services with this entry-level qualification, which will assist you in acquiring the necessary skill sets and knowledge needed to provide individual support in aged and disability care as well as home and community settings.
CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason. It is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge to gain employment in ageing, or disability support services.
During this course, students will develop the skills and knowledge to work one-on-one with clients to maximise and maintain independence and well-being. Training and assessment will ensure learners are able to work legally and ethically with a diverse range of people within the scope of practice for a support worker. Applying a holistic care approach and working healthily and safely in a direct care environment are key focuses throughout training and assessment of the qualification.

REQUIREMENTS
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. Applicants should be a minimum of 17 years of age at the time of application and must be 18 years of age at the commencement of the course.
IELTS Academic Module Minimum overall score of 5.5 with no individual band less than 5.0
Cambridge Advanced English (CAE) Minimum overall score of 170
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic Module Minimum overall score of 42 with no less than 36 in Writing, Listening and speaking
TOEFL Internet Based Test (iBT) Minimum overall score of 46 with a minimum writing score of 21
