This course will give you the flexibility to teach children from Year 1 up to Year 10.
It also prepares you for working as a dedicated Primary or lower Secondary School teacher and equips you to teach in regional, rural and remote settings. During your studies, you will receive diverse professional experiences in a range of schools.
You’ll also have a chance to specialise in one of these learning areas of interest: health and physical education, mathematics, or science.

Career Opportunities
This course creates quality graduates ready to take up employment in primary and lower secondary (up to year 10) education environments. Students may be employed as generalist primary teachers, specialist primary teachers or secondary teachers teaching to year 10 in a single learning area specialisation: Mathematics, Science or Health and Physical Education. The focus on regional, rural and remote education embedded in the course, provides an appropriate background for graduates to seek employment in education in a range of metropolitan, regional, rural and remote educational settings.

REQUIREMENTS

Secondary school results
Successful completion of one year of tertiary study from a recognised institution
Completed Diploma program from a recognised institution
English competency requirements:
International students must attain an IELTS Academic with an average level of 7.5 or more, across the four components of listening, speaking, reading and writing; no score below level 7.0 in any of these components; and a score of 8.0 or more in the components of speaking and listening.
TOEFL iBT: 70 (no individual score less than 17)
TOEFL Paper-Based Test (PBT): Minimum score of 550, including Test of Written English of 5 or better. (Results are typically valid for only 2 years.)
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: 52, with no scores less than 50. (Results are typically valid for only two years.)
