Thinking about a career in research?
In this course you’ll do a deep dive into your chosen nursing discipline. You will develop your understanding of that discipline and learn contemporary research methods to help you undertake a significant independent research investigation, under the supervision of nursing leaders.
Course learning outcomes
Apply cognitive, technical and creative skills to explore and extend contemporary practice through research activities.
Apply communication and collaboration skills to analyse, and disseminate research that makes a contribution to knowledge in the field of nursing.
Reflect critically on a complex body of nursing knowledge, research principles and methods to demonstrate mastery in the field of nursing.
Use high-level self-management skills to plan and execute a substantial piece of research.
Career Opportunities
To enhance current clinical practice as a nurse and the potential to move into research intensive positions.

REQUIREMENTS
All applicants are required to have a Bachelor Degree in Nursing, with equivalents considered, and be a Registered Nurse in any country.
Academic admission requirements (Band 8) may be satisfied through completion of one of the following:
Bachelor degree in a cognate discipline; or
Where accepted, equivalent prior learning, including at least five years relevant professional experience.
English competency requirements:
IELTS Academic: overall minimum score of 7.0 (no individual band less than 7.0)
TOEFL iBT: TOEFL iBT: 84 (with no score below 17)
TOEFL Paper-Based Test (PBT): Minimum score of 573, including Test of Written English of 5.0 or better. (Results are typically valid for only 2 years)
Pearson Test of English (PTE): PTE Academic 58, with no score less than 50 for postgraduate standard entry courses. (Results are typically valid for only 2 years)
