COURSE DESCRIPTION
BSB52415 Diploma of Marketing and Communication applies to people with various job titles including executive officers and marketing professionals. The course applies to individuals with a sound theoretical knowledge base in marketing and communication and who demonstrate a range of managerial skills to ensure that functions are effectively conducted in an organisation or business area. They would typically have responsibility for the work of other staff and lead teams.
The Diploma of Marketing and Communication is the next step in your pathway to network and create global communications. Students participate in practical business situations which involve innovation and creativity to develop feasibility studies or undertake business ventures. The focus on marketing and online communications ensure that graduates have the necessary skills to grow a business and to access local, national or international customers who are searching, interacting, sharing and shopping online.
Assessment
Students undertake a range of practical assessments for each unit of competency. The methods of assessment will vary according to the requirements of each unit of competence and these include: Knowledge tests Practical demonstrations Presentations Case studies Projects Role plays.
Study Pathway: BSB50620 Diploma of Marketing and Communication; BSB60520 Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication
REQUIREMENTS
Entry into BSB50620 Diploma of Marketing and Communication is limited to applicants who have completed all core units in BSB40820 Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication.
In addition:
International students must be 18 years of age or above and provide evidence of the following published entry requirements:
- Year 12 or equivalent and above, and
English Language Entry Requirements:
- IELTS score 5.5 minimum (not lower than 5.0 in any band); or equivalent.
- Any AQF qualification at the Certificate III level or above in any discipline area, delivered and assessed in English only, will be sufficient for meeting both the academic and English language entry requirements.
- Completion of 12 weeks of General English at Upper-Intermediate level or equivalent with a minimum B grade.
- Completion of Cambridge Course B2(FCE) with a minimum B grade.
- Completion of EAP1 with a minimum B grade.
