COURSE DESCRIPTION
Contribute to a healthier and happier society with Endeavour’s Diploma of Health Science. In addition to gaining foundational knowledge of biological and social sciences, our one-year full time (two years part time) course gives you the opportunity to specialise in various areas of complementary medicine through interdisciplinary electives including Naturopathy and Nutrition streams. Upon graduation, this Higher Education Diploma opens the doors to further study in health science degrees or roles in allied health or complementary medicine environments. From owning your own business to being a part of community health project teams, the career outcomes of this course are full of exciting possibilities.
Career Opportunities
Your career in natural health is what you make of it. The Diploma of Health Science sets you up for a range of career opportunities including:
Working on project teams in community health, local and federal government or even in community gardens
Recipe and product development for your own brand or for local business. This could include developing your own products such as herbal teas, healthy meal packs, cafe menus and beauty and health related products
Specialised retail work in health food stores, organic food sales, pharmacy retail and nutrition sales
Digital content creation through social media channels, blog writing and video development
Further studies in allied health science careers including naturopathy, nutrition and dietetics, acupuncture, myotherapy, and other allied health fields Please note that this course does not provide students with the ability to practise in any of the related fields. As such, graduates will not be eligible to register with professional bodies or associations for the purposes of registration to practise.
Assessments
While some subjects require mid-term and final exams, assessments may also comprise of quizzes, essays and tutorial participation. All students, regardless of study mode, are required to sit examinations online using Respondus Lockdown Browser software, or in special circumstances under approved external supervision (as per the Examination Policy – Higher Education).
REQUIREMENTS
Endeavour College is a direct entry institution.
Year 12 or equivalent(OP/ATAR score not required)
Mature age students without year 12 equivalent may be admitted based on relevant educational history
English language proficiency equivalent to a 6.5 IELTS result is required.

The campuses Brisbane, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Adelaide and Perth offers bachelor, certificate, diploma and advanced diploma courses in a wide range of areas. The College offers 6 bachelor health sciences degree programs in the fields of acupuncture, naturopathy, nutritional medicine, western herbal medicine, homeopathy and musculoskeletal therapy. Additionally, short courses are offered in over 40 fields of study.
