COURSE DESCRIPTION
The focus of the Excelsia College Master of Business Administration (MBA) is leadership of organisations with an ethical and social responsibility orientation. The program is designed to develop in students’ leadership skills as well as knowledge of ethical and socially responsible practices within organisations. The purpose of the MBA is to promote and enhance the mission of Excelsia College through the application of scholarship consistent with a Christian worldview in producing graduates prepared to lead in a range of professions and organisational settings.
Philosophically, the MBA is ‘outward looking,’ with a clear orientation towards managers as global citizens, decision makers and leaders, from initiating organisational research all the way through the value chain to marketing and after-sales service.
The program takes a human-centric approach to management education that incorporate human values of empathy as well as the development of critical analytical thinking and design thinking. The goal from this orientation to management education to is make the Excelsia College MBA graduate a better business leader connected to the real world and communities in which businesses operate.
Students have the option of choosing from three majors, namely;
Business Research,
Financial Management, and
Operational Management.
Alternatively, students may opt for a general MBA where four electives are selected in addition to the 8 Core Units.
Where this will take me
The Master of Business Administration is designed for young managers and business leaders who are still developing their knowledge and mastery of business processes.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an Australian Higher Education Institution or approved international university OR
Applicants must hold a Graduate Diploma of Business Administration or Graduate Diploma in a business or management related field from an Australian Higher Education Institution or approved international university OR
Applicants without a formal qualification may apply for entry into the Master of Business Administration based on a minimum of 5 years documented managerial work experience or completion of a professional qualification plus managerial work experience. These applicants will be assessed by the Excelsia College Admissions Committee in consultation with the Head of School on a case-by-case basis.
English language proficiency requirements
Applicants who did not complete their bachelor degree in English at an approved institution in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the Republic of Ireland, the United Kingdom or the United States of America will be required to demonstrate English Language proficiency. Such applicants must have an overall IELTS result of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0, or equivalent English Language proficiency test result.

Excelsia College has also achieved great results in undergraduate skills development, rating at 88.9 per cent, and teaching quality, rating 88.6 per cent. We are proud to have over 58 nationalities represented at our College, including the Philippines, Singapore, Nepal and India.
