COURSE DESCRIPTION
Big data is utilised to make informed decisions in business.
Learning skills to identify, interpret and analyse data trends, makes our graduates job ready and in demand upon graduation.
Learn appropriate methods and tools that are applied to retrieve, transform, organise, visualise, and analyse data, and study areas such as information and data analysis, allowing you to discover and quantify patterns using statistics, statistical inference, regression analysis.
You may also complete the SAS® undergraduate joint certificate program (JCP) curriculum in data analytics and visualisation. SAS software gives you the tools and opportunity to excel in using and applying SAS technologies to solve real-world business problems. Achieving the JCP gives you a competitive advantage as you move into a career in data analytics.
In final year, you will undertake a project analysing large data sets. You may uncover hidden patterns, unknown correlations, market trends, customer preferences and other useful business information. Your analytical findings can lead to marketing that is more effective, new revenue opportunities, better customer service, improved operational efficiency, competitive advantages over rival organisations and other business benefits.

REQUIREMENTS
Successful completion of Australian Year 12 with final-year mathematics courses, or overseas equivalent.
English language requirements
Overall IELTS band score of 6.0, with no band less than 5.5, or equivalent; TOEFL iBT: 60-78 with minimums (Reading 8, Listening 7, Speaking 16, Writing 18); Pearson (PTE): Overall 50 (no band less than 42); Cambridge-CAE: Overall 169 (no band less than 162).
