Prepare for a career in accounting or finance with an introduction to the technical and practical realities of the global marketplace. This degree will prepare you for a career in accounting and is accredited by CPA Australia and the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. It provides core studies in a range of business-related topics. You will learn fundamental business concepts and apply them to real-world scenarios, developing analytical skills vital for roles in accounting and business analysis.
What you will study
First year
A typical first year may include:
- core topics in accounting principles; quantitative methods; management, people and organisations; economics for business; law for business; and foundations of finance
- specialisation topics in accounting and finance.
Second year
A typical second year may include:

Flinders University recognises international secondary schooling for direct entry to undergraduate programs.

- TOEFL iBT: 72 Overall with 18 Speaking, 21 Writing;
- Pearson PTE Academic: 50 Overall with 50 Speaking, 50 Writing;
- Cambridge C1 Advanced: 169 Overall with 169 Writing, 169 Speaking;
- Occupational English Test (OET): 300 Speaking, 300 Writing; Duolingo (Up to and including Semester 2, 2024): Overall 95-100
