Enjoy a highly sought-after career in a fast-growing sector providing disability support, advocacy and services for people of all ages with diverse needs, including developmental and acquired disabilities. Grounded in a human rights approach, graduates will be equipped to work in a range of disability and related human services roles as effective and capable practitioners supporting people to live flourishing lives.

Professional accreditation/recognition:
The Bachelor of Disability and Community Inclusion (BDCI) curriculum is aligned with the first three years of the Bachelor of Disability and Developmental Education (BDDE) degree.
Graduates of the BDCI are able to complete an additional year, the final year of the BDDE degree, to be eligible to practice as accredited Developmental Educators if they wish at a later date.

Flinders University recognises international secondary schooling for direct entry to undergraduate programs.

- IELTS (Academic): 6.0 Overall with 6.0 Speaking, 6.0 Writing;
- TOEFL iBT: 72 Overall with 18 Speaking, 21 Writing;
- Pearson PTE Academic: 50 Overall with 50 Speaking, 50 Writing;
- Cambridge C1 Advanced: 169 Overall with 169 Writing, 169 Speaking;
- Occupational English Test (OET): 300 Speaking, 300 Writing; Duolingo (Up to and including Semester 2, 2024): Overall 95-100
