COURSE DESCRIPTION

This flexible course gives you exposure to a wide variety of health professions. The degree equips you with transferable skills and experience in a multidisciplinary environment, providing a strong foundation for your future endeavours in the healthcare industry or in further study.

What you will study

First year

A typical first year may include:

  • core topics in legal and ethical aspects of health care, communication and interprofessional practice, human bioscience, and health practitioner practice
  • introductory topics contributing towards your major

Second year

A typical second year may include:

  • intermediate topics contributing towards your major
  • study of the sociological and psychological aspects of health
  • a selection of electives

Third year

A typical third year may include:

  • core topics in qualitative and quantitative methods for social health research
  • a health work internship
  • advanced topics contributing towards your major
  • a selection of electives

Your career

This degree caters for a wide range of careers and equips you with transferable industry relevant skills. Your career path depends on which major you choose.

REQUIREMENTS

Flinders University recognises international secondary schooling for direct entry to undergraduate programs.

English language requirements

  • IELTS (Academic): 6.0 Overall with 6.0 Speaking, 6.0 Writing;
  • TOEFL iBT: 72 Overall with 18 Speaking, 21 Writing;
  • Pearson PTE Academic: 50 Overall with 50 Speaking, 50 Writing;
  • Cambridge C1 Advanced: 169 Overall with 169 Writing, 169 Speaking;
  • Occupational English Test (OET): 300 Speaking, 300 Writing; Duolingo (Up to and including Semester 2, 2024): Overall 95-100
