COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Bachelor of Information Technology (Machine Learning) produces IT professionals ready to innovate and develop the next generation of machine learning and artificial intelligence based applications. Graduates of this degree will be able to develop sophisticated solutions to complex problems using machine learning techniques and tools.

The course provides education in both the theoretical and the practical aspects of information technology and intelligent systems preparing graduates for a variety of roles.

Professional accreditation/recognition

All our current Bachelor of Information Technology and Bachelor of Computer Science degrees are accredited by the Australian Computer Society at the professional level. This new degree has been designed to be similarly accredited. Professional ICT courses accredited by the Australian Computer Society are recognised internationally under the Seoul Accord. Graduates meet the academic requirements for attaining chartered status as ICT professionals.

Flinders University recognises international secondary schooling for direct entry to undergraduate programs.

English language requirements

  • IELTS (Academic): 6.0 Overall with 6.0 Speaking, 6.0 Writing;
  • TOEFL iBT: 72 Overall with 18 Speaking, 21 Writing;
  • Pearson PTE Academic: 50 Overall with 50 Speaking, 50 Writing;
  • Cambridge C1 Advanced: 169 Overall with 169 Writing, 169 Speaking;
  • Occupational English Test (OET): 300 Speaking, 300 Writing; Duolingo (Up to and including Semester 2, 2024): Overall 95-100
