The Graduate Certificate in Public Policy aims to introduce the theory and practice of public policy for current and future public servants and those interested in knowing more about how policy is made.
Learning outcomes
Graduates with a Graduate Certificate in Public Policy will have the knowledge and capacity to:
- Have an advanced understanding of theories and contemporary developments in the field of public policy
- Analyse critically, evaluate and transform information to complete a range of activities within the field of public policy
- Analyse, generate and transmit solutions to complex problems within the field of public policy
- Transmit knowledge, skills and ideas to others
- Apply their knowledge and skills within the field of public policy to demonstrate autonomy an display well developed judgement, adaptability and responsibility as a practitioner or learner.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for the graduate certificates must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent from an approved tertiary institution.
English language requirements
IELTS (Academic): 6.0 Overall with 6.0 Speaking, 6.0 Writing; TOEFL iBT: 72 Total score with 18 Speaking, 21 Writing; Pearson PTE Academic: 50 Overall with 50 Speaking, 50 Writing; Cambridge C1 Advanced: 169 Overall with 169 Speaking, 169 Writing; Occupational English Test (OET): 300 Speaking, 300 Writing, 300 Reading, 300 Listening; Duolingo (Up to and including Semester 2, 2024): Overall 95-100
