Overview
The Master of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) reflects Flinders University’s strength over many years in instrumentation, control systems and robotics, including computer vision, renewable energy systems and electronics for medical devices. This degree will allow you to be a part of the next generation of electrical and electronic technology professionals.
Designing and developing electrical and electronic devices is the responsibility of professional engineers, who are playing an increasingly important role in the development of smart infrastructure for autonomous automotive vehicles, aerospace and maritime engineering; bioinstrumentation; intelligent robotics; environment monitoring, smart cities and a low-carbon economy.
Flinders specialises in research training for engineers, and the course offers you a choice of research projects in intelligent control, autonomous vehicles, robotics, image/signal processing, computer vision and robotics, renewable energy and bioinstrumentation. Staff are directly involved on industry projects involving unmanned underwater vehicles, video tracking, bioinstrumentation and environmental sensors.

REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must normally hold a Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Engineering Science or equivalent overseas qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) or a closely related discipline. Alternatively, students can progress through Flinders University’s Graduate Diploma in Engineering Science (EEE major).
Students without such a qualification should apply for the Master of Engineering Science (Electrical and Electronic) or the Graduate Diploma in Engineering Science (EEE major) and can transfer into the Master of Engineering after completing one year of study.
Students who hold a Washington Accord accredited Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) (Honours) may receive up to one-year’s credit in the degree.

IELTS (Academic): 6.0 Overall with 6.0 Speaking, 6.0 Writing; TOEFL iBT: 72 Total score with 18 Speaking, 21 Writing; Pearson PTE Academic: 50 Overall with 50 Speaking, 50 Writing; Cambridge C1 Advanced: 169 Overall with 169 Speaking, 169 Writing; Occupational English Test (OET): 300 Speaking, 300 Writing, 300 Reading, 300 Listening; Duolingo (Up to and including Semester 2, 2024): Overall 95-100
