COURSE DESCRIPTION
This qualification would apply to international students who would be dreaming to become executive officers, program consultants and program coordinators. Individuals in these roles may possess substantial experience in a range of settings but seek to further develop their skills across a wide range of business functions. Conversely, it may also apply to those with little or no vocational experience.
COURSE STRUCTURE
The BSB50120 Diploma of Business requires the successful completion of twelve (12) units (5 Core + 7 Elective). Electives for this qualification have been chosen by Institute of Business and Management (Victoria) to ensure that students achieve a broad range of skills and knowledge in business administration.
Assessment Method
Assessment methods used for this qualification will provide a range of ways for individuals to demonstrate that they have met the required outcomes including:

Oral test
Case Study
Projects
Presentation
Observation
Roleplay
At the beginning of each unit, trainers will outline the assessment tasks that must be completed.
Educational Pathways
On completion of this qualification, students may undertake qualifications at Advanced Diploma level or above in Business training package.

Participants completing BSB50120 Diploma of Business may enter or continue current roles including:

REQUIREMENTS
All international students must be 18 years of age at the time of commencement.
English Language Requirement
International Students applying for this qualification must have a minimum English language proficiency of IELTS 6.0 or an equivalent exam result recognised by the Department of Home Affairs.
You must still take the IBM (VIC)’s pre-entry placement test at Orientation. It is used as a guide to determine the level of language, literacy and numeracy required for competent performance.
Other equivalent English language proficiency level is deemed one of the following:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS): 6
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic): 50

The Institute of Business and Management (Victoria) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that offers a vibrant, unique learning experience and is based in Preston (Victoria) with access to public transport. It offers the ELICOS General English course, the Diploma of Business Administration, and the Advanced Diploma of Business.
