JMC’s Diploma of Live Production & Technical Services (Stage Management) provides an exciting and immersive way of learning a range of skills for every area of theatre production.
This diploma will equip you with the skills necessary to excel in a range of roles, spanning from technical operator and stage manager in theatre, to production assistant and production manager in film. JMC’s collaborative environment provides a unique opportunity to gain invaluable experience and expertise, enabling you to confidently navigate the challenges of working behind the scenes and on set.
We believe in a fully immersive approach to studying theatre production. Our collaborative campus allows actors, filmmakers, and stage managers to seamlessly work together on a variety of in-house and external productions. Learn all about what goes on behind the scenes, from lighting and props to managing small and large-scale performances.
By participating in a range of productions at the Academy, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in a multitude of roles, and the valuable experience of the entire production process, from the first script read to the final standing ovation.
Duration:
When undertaken full-time, the Diploma of Live Production & Technical Services (Stage Management) can be completed in 12 months (3 trimesters). This duration aligns with our Acting student cohort ensuring you always have real productions to work on throughout your studies.
Intake Dates: February.
REQUIREMENTS
- Successful completion of a senior secondary school certificate
- English proficiency: minimum IELTS 6.0 overall (with no single band score below 5.5) or equivalent.
- Interview
- Must be at least 18 years old at course commencement
- TOEFL iBT: 73 overall with a minimum writing score of 18
- Pearson English Test (PTE) 50-57
- Cambridge English Test – C1 Advanced overall score of 169.
