Do you dream of producing the ultimate gig, the crowd screaming for more, knowing that it’s because you dreamt it, designed, managed it and promoted it? From talent management to digital marketing, social media strategy, event planning, production, publishing and distribution – Entertainment Business Management is about being an expert at what goes on behind-the-scenes.
To succeed as a creative industry manager you need a fundamental understanding of entertainment business. This Diploma will give you the background to the industry, and provide a core understanding of business practices and the challenges faced when commercialising music, entertainment and the arts.
It will help you develop your communication skills for marketing plans, briefs, proposals, ad copy and media releases, and gain the hands-on experience you will need in negotiating, copyright, intellectual property, licensing and the legalities of the industry.
Duration
When undertaken full-time, the Diploma of Entertainment Business Management can be completed in 8 months (2 trimesters).
Upon successful completion of the Diploma qualification, students are eligible to continue their studies into the bachelor’s degree with advanced standing of two trimesters.
Intake Dates: February, June, September.
REQUIREMENTS
- Successful completion of a senior secondary school certificate
- English proficiency: minimum IELTS 6.0 overall (with no single band score below 5.5) or equivalent.
- Interview
- Must be at least 18 years old at course commencement
- TOEFL iBT: 73 overall with a minimum writing score of 18
- Pearson English Test (PTE) 50-57
- Cambridge English Test – C1 Advanced overall score of 169.
