COURSE DESCRIPTION
This program provides professional knowledge and skills to plan and implement appropriate care and educational experiences for young children. This is a practical- based learning program, where students will also develop skills, knowledge and understanding of relative legal and ethical requirements, strategies, and approaches to engage with young children and their families, methods and knowledge to facilitate children’s interests, as well as knowledge and skills to foster holistic development and wellbeing. The qualification reflects the role of an early childhood educators who are responsible to assist room leader to design and implement curriculum.
Course Requirement
- Scheduled structured training for a minimum of 20 hours per week
- Undertake compulsory work placement of 120 hours
- Record and reflect on the training activities using a Practical Placement Journal
