Course structure
Trimester 1
In your Foundation Studies program, you’ll study four subjects in each of your two trimesters. You’ll also undertake independent learning to develop learning and research skills to prepare you for university.
REQUIREMENTS
Students enrolled in a Foundation Studies program must have completed the equivalent of Year 11.
English Requirements
Cambridge English: Level B1, IB English: Minimum of 3 in English A or minimum of 4 in English B, IELTS (Academic): 5.5 (no band score below 5.0), PTE Academic: 36 (no skill less than 29).

La Trobe College Australia is your direct pathway to an extensive range of degree options at La Trobe University, one of Australia’s leading universities. It offers a variety of foundation and diploma courses which are equivalent to La Trobe University’s first year bachelor degree. Upon successful completion of a diploma, students will enter the second year of a bachelor degree. La Trobe College Australia is part of the Navitas network; English language programs and foundation studies for international students are also offered. Its small class sizes offer students more personal attention from lecturers and its programs are moderated and assessed by the faculty.
