COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is a combination of Multi-Engine Class Rating and Multi-Engine Command Instrument Rating. You first learn how to operate a multi-engine aircraft, and then you will learn how to operate a multi-engine aircraft. Perform instrument flight training. When instrument flight training begins, you will first use the ALSIM AL42 Diamond DA42 flight simulator for training . This flight simulator features a Garmin G1000 avionics system. In addition to this, you will be trained in navigation aids tracking, instrument approaches, emergency procedures, take-off procedures and landing procedures.
Upon completion of the Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating) course, students will have gained the minimum experience which is required as a baseline for the aviation industry. This competency will allow students to fly as an IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) pilot in a multi-engine aircraft, and fly in reduced minima as set out in the approach and departure procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
- Be over the age of 18 years
- Graduated High School or equivalent
- IELTS Overall Band Score 5.5 or equivalent
- Pass the Skills and Interview Assessment
