COURSE DESCRIPTION
This qualification is suitable for those who use well developed marketing and communication skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of contexts. It includes knowledge and skills in the areas of digital media as well as covering the requirements of thorough and effective research. Individuals in these roles apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.
They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others, however they typically report to more senior practitioners.
PATHWAYS
After achieving the BSB40820 Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication, candidates may undertake a Diploma of Marketing and Communication.
DELIVERY APPROACH AND MODE
The delivery approach of this course is based on a timetable of 20 hours per week. The mode of delivery and assessment of this course may include lectures, group workshops, presentations, practical activities, some self-directed learning as well as research reports. These components will be supported by blended learning methodologies, face to face classroom-based learning and/or a flexible approach with online learning.
DELIVERY AND ASSESSMENT
A variety of methods are incorporated into the course to accommodate different learning styles. These include project work, reports, portfolio development as well as individual presentations.
COURSE DURATION
Up to 28 weeks (including holidays).
REQUIREMENTS
To enter this qualification, candidates must provide evidence of the following:
- Year 12 or equivalent literacy and numeracy levels
- 18 years of age or over.
- Upper intermediate English language proficiency is required for International students
