COURSE DESCRIPTION
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply project management skills and knowledge. They may manage projects in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors and are responsible for achieving project objectives.
They possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical and managerial competencies to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others.
DELIVERY AND ASSESSMENT
A variety of methods are incorporated into the course to accommodate different learning styles. These include project work, reports, portfolio development as well as individual presentations.
DELIVERY APPROACH AND MODE
The delivery approach of this course is based on a timetable of 20 hours per week. The mode of delivery and assessment of this course may include lectures, group workshops, presentations, practical activities, some self-directed learning as well as research reports. These components will be supported by blended learning methodologies, face to face classroom-based learning and/or a flexible approach with online learning.
COURSE DURATION
Up to 26 weeks (including holidays).
PATHWAYS
After achieving the Diploma of Project Management, candidates may undertake an Advanced Diploma of Project Management.
REQUIREMENTS
Demonstration of potential to undertake vocational education and training at diploma level, including:
Completion of the BSB40207 Certificate IV in Business or other relevant qualification;
or
Demonstration of substantial vocational experience in project roles where they may have had some limited responsibility without a formal project management qualification.
Students must be 18 years of age or over
International students require an English language proficiency score of 5.5 IELTS (or equivalent).
