Secondary education teachers guide and support high school students during what can be an exciting and challenging period in their lives. High-quality high school teachers inspire a love of learning and enquiry in their students, and help them develop skills that enable them to reach their full potential.
In the Bachelor of Arts component of this double degree, you’ll choose an academic major in the discipline of your first teaching subject. You may also choose to undertake a second teaching subject. The Bachelor of Education (Secondary) component will provide you with the equivalent of two years full-time professional study. You’ll be taught by academics who are researching the latest approaches to teaching and learning. Macquarie is a leader in educational research, particularly in the areas of maths, science, English and history teaching.
