Translation and interpreting is just as much an art as it is a skill. Professionals are proficient bilinguals who love languages and cultures, who possess excellent writing and public speaking skills, and who are meticulous down to the tiniest details. They are talented at transforming expressions, colloquialisms and other culturally specific references into statements their audience will understand.
The Master of Translation and Interpreting Studies (Advanced) allows you to achieve greater depth in either translation or interpreting – or in both disciplines – than the Master of Translation and Interpreting Studies. You’ll have the opportunity to take electives in areas such as specialised translation and interpreting in medical, legal and business settings. This degree allows you to study in the following languages paired with English: Chinese (Mandarin), French, Japanese, Korean and Spanish.

To be eligible to sit the tests, you must start your degree full-time in Session 1 to complete the four required units.
